Parent & Caregiver Coaching

Parent coaching teaches you the skills a behavior professional uses: how to read what behavior communicates, how to respond without escalating, and how to teach your child better ways to get their needs met. You become the intervention, which is exactly why it works long after the coaching ends.

How Jess practices

This is for you if…

Parents and caregivers who want to deeply understand their child, not just manage them. Also grandparents, nannies, and support workers who share the caregiving.

  • You react in the moment, then lie awake replaying it
  • You and your partner (or your child's grandparents) handle behavior differently, and your child knows it
  • Professionals keep working with your child, but nobody teaches YOU
  • You want fewer battles and more connection

What we work on together

Understanding what the behavior is telling you

Behavior is communication. Coaching trains you to spot the need underneath the behavior, which changes how you respond and how quickly things de-escalate.

Responding without escalating

You will learn calm, practical responses for the hardest moments, and how to stop accidentally feeding the cycle, without punishment-based tactics that damage trust.

Getting every caregiver on the same page

When parents, grandparents, and support workers respond consistently, children feel safer and behavior improves faster. Coaching can include anyone who cares for your child.

How it works

  1. Free discovery call

Share what home looks like right now and what you want it to look like instead.

  2. Learn the framework

In focused video sessions, Jess teaches you to read behavior, adjust your responses, and set your child up for better days.

  3. Practice with backup

You apply it in real life while Jess reviews how it went, refines the approach, and keeps you steady through setbacks.

Common questions

Why coach the parent instead of working with the child?

Because you are with your child thousands of hours a year; a professional gets a fraction of that. Research on caregiver-mediated support is clear: when parents learn the skills, children improve more, faster, and the gains last. Coaching turns the person your child trusts most into their most effective support.

We have tried parenting courses. How is this different?

Generic parenting courses assume a typically-developing nervous system. This coaching is specific to autistic and neurodivergent children, personalized to YOUR child's patterns, and live: you bring real situations from the week, and you leave with responses tailored to them.

Can both parents join? What about grandparents?

Yes, and it is encouraged. Consistency across caregivers is one of the strongest levers for change, so sessions can include anyone who regularly cares for your child.
