Behavior support for autism families in Miami

South Florida has ABA providers on every corner and yet Miami parents still describe the same frustrations: revolving-door technicians, programs that never quite reach the home, and waivers with years-long waitlists. Parent-led consulting is the counterweight: expertise that stays in your family.

Sessions run online in Eastern Time for families across Miami-Dade and Broward. Plans are built for South Florida life: abuela's Sunday dinners, hurricane-season routine disruptions, and the year-round schedule that never gives anyone a reset week.

Funding & support in Florida

Jess's consulting is private-pay and does not bill insurance directly. Some families use HSA/FSA funds or flexible program dollars where their plan's rules allow, so check with your administrator. The free discovery call costs nothing and will help you map your options.

  • Florida Medicaid & iBudget waiver

Florida Medicaid covers medically necessary autism services for eligible children, while the APD iBudget waiver (with a substantial waitlist) funds broader supports; families are advised to apply early.

  • Family Empowerment Scholarship (Unique Abilities)

Florida's FES-UA program gives eligible families flexible education funds that some direct toward approved therapies and services under program rules.

Serving the wider Miami area

Families anywhere in the region, from Hialeah, Kendall, Coral Gables, Homestead, Doral, Fort Lauderdale, Hollywood to Pembroke Pines, and everywhere in between, can work with Jess online. If you can get online, you are close enough.

Miami families ask

Our household is bilingual. Does English-language coaching still work?

Yes. Coaching is delivered in English to you, the parent, and the strategies work in whichever language your home speaks; behavior does not care about language. Many families translate visual supports and scripts into Spanish for the household, and that works beautifully.

Hurricane season wrecks our routines every year. Any way to prepare?

Yes, disruption-proofing is a real part of planning for South Florida families: portable routines, visual schedules that travel, and regulation strategies that work in a shelter, a relative's house, or a powerless week at home.
